Aggregates 8 GbE/GFC over 10G

The PM C1008 Gigabit Ethernet and 1G Fibre Channel aggregation modules provide point to point transport multiplexing of Gigabit Ethernet or 1G Fibre Channel services.

These modules multiplex up to eight Gigabit Ethernet or 1G Fibre Channel services over 10 Gbps with an OC-192/STM-64 line rate. The PM C1008 comes in two flavors, the PM C1008 and the PM C1008LH. The PM C1008 can be used to transport these Gigabit Ethernet or Fibre Channel services point to point for short distances and the PM C1008LH can be used to transport these services long distances. Both modules provide on onboard line protection port for the services transported.

Point to Point Aggregation of SAN and Ethernet Services

The PM C1008 modules can be used in a wide variety of applications. They can be utilized in any application that requires Gigabit Ethernet or 1G Fibre Channel services to be transported from one site to another, point to point. Ideal applications for the PM C1008 modules include Business Ethernet Services, IP DSLAM Backhauling, Access Aggregation, Triple or Quadruple Play, Transport Infrastructure and Wireless Backhaul (3G/4G).
